A Message to Our Patrons

from MCS President, Joanne Bidini

Welcome to the Mississauga Choral Society's exciting 2010/11 season!

I invite you to share our journey as MCS continues its tradition of innovative programming and groundbreaking performance.

In each of the past three seasons we have brought our audience World Premiere multimedia performances of MCS-commissioned Canadian choral works. This year we are building on these successes as we prepare to launch exciting new young-listeners programming. Gallery of Song: Spirit of the Land brings live performance of Canada's Group of Seven heritage to school-aged children, in an intimate concert setting, featuring a combination of music, poetry and visual arts.

Our sold-out concerts are firm indicators that our programming is appealing and that our community roots are strong. We are pleased to show our gratitude for your support by kicking off our season with a benefit performance for The Compass Food Bank as part of Port Credit's 'Twas the Bite Before Christmas community fundraising initiative.

My heartfelt thanks goes to our outgoing President, George F. Hrubecky, for his

leadership and dedication to MCS as we continue to face the challenges of a new

economy.

Gaining hard-won financial support consumes much of our time and energy, and we value each and every gift.  I encourage you to show your support by joining our Volunteers, or offering a tax-deductible financial contribution.

We're proud to present our 2010/11 season of enduring choral masterpieces and

irresistible modern classics for your pleasure! I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Joanne  Bidini
