BENEFIT CONCERT
As part of its outreach initiative, MCS presented a benefit concert in November, 2010 in support of The Compass Food Bank. The concert was a component of the Port Credit BIA’s Christmas food drive, ‘Twas the Bite Before Christmas.’ The choir performed inspirational choruses, pieces popularized by well known recording artists, and familiar classics from Broadway musicals for a large and enthusiastic audience. Another benefit for The Compass will be presented on November 5, 2011,
GUEST CHORUS OF THE TORONTO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
In December, 2010 the TSO invited MCS as guest chorus for their annual gift-concert to clients of United Way, Messiah for the City, at St. James’ Cathedral, Toronto. The TSO has invited MCS back as guest chorus for this year’s event in December, 2011.
POP-UP HALLELUJAH CHORUS
Just before Christmas, 2010, MCS was asked to perform a pop-up Hallelujah chorus at the Peel Regional Cancer Centre, Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga.
